The Family Homelessness and Eviction Prevention Supplement (FHEPS) program provides rental assistance for permanent housing for families with children that receive Cash Assistance AND:
- live in shelters
- are being evicted OR
- have been evicted
FHEPS was formerly known as FEPS, or the Family Eviction Prevention Supplement.
If you live in a shelter, you can get help applying for FHEPS from your case manager or housing specialist.
If you live in the community, you can find out if you are eligible by visiting a Human Resources Administration (HRA) Benefits Access Center (formerly known as Job Center).
You can get the locations, hours and phone numbers of Benefits Access Centers in your area. All Centers are accessible for people who use wheelchairs.
